“We are excited that Reconciliation Australia has endorsed Innovate, the next phase of our RAP,” says James Phillis, CEO SMEC ANZ. “Throughout the first phase, Reflect, we defined our vision for reconciliation relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders. We identified and successfully implemented a number of specific initiatives, which have helped us progress to the Innovate stage, where we’ve outlined further actions to continue supporting reconciliation.”
Innovate is the second phase in the four-stage process outlined by Reconciliation Australia, which provides organisations with a framework to structure their approach towards national reconciliation.
“SMEC has worked hard to facilitate a collaborative and inclusive environment, not only for our employees but also for our communities. We’re looking forward to continually learning and improving as we strive to bring to life our commitment to reconciliation,” concludes James.
